Cybersecurity: Technology & Issues in a Global Society (9-12)

Format: 1 semester course (can be extended to year-long course)

Description: This course is a URI general education course intended for all students (not just those interested in computer science or cybersecurity as a career). This course provides an overview of the technology, threats, and social impact of cybersecurity in our everyday lives.

Teacher Profile: No prior CS experience required

PD Profile: 5-week online summer course with 2 synchronous workshop sessions; school year support

Cost to School: PD/curriculum cost waived

Computer Access: Access for all students

Concurrent Enrollment: Allowed
