Ozobot SUmmer CS & AI PD Program
Organization: Ozobot
The Ozobot CS&AI PD Program is a hands-on professional development experience designed to support K–8 educators in integrating Rhode Island’s computer science standards into their classrooms through robotics, AI, and meaningful content connections. Participants will engage with the Ozobot Ari robot and its AI-powered learning platform, gaining practical experience with accessible, screen-light coding and artificial intelligence concepts that can be immediately applied in the classroom. Teachers can join on both days, or whichever day they choose. This two-day cohort is structured as three connected learning sessions: an Introduction to Ari, Content Integration with a focus on math fluency, and an exploration of AI in the classroom. Educators may attend one or both days, with a strong recommendation to begin with the introductory session to build foundational skills. Each session emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and classroom-ready strategies that make computer science approachable for all learners. Throughout the cohort, teachers will learn how to design and implement engaging lessons that integrate computer science across subject areas, empowering students to think critically, solve problems, and explore real-world applications of technology. Participants will also become part of a growing network of Rhode Island educators committed to expanding equitable access to high-quality computer science education.
